Inc42, in collaboration with iStart Rajasthan, is excited to launch the fourth edition of the Digital Rajasthan Yatra 2025 Report, which shows how the state has embraced the digital revolution to positively impact the region’s farming practices, healthcare, education, and MSMEs.

This latest coffee table book showcases the remarkable digital journey of Rajasthan and its emergence as a growing tech hub in India’s rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.

A Sneak Peek Into Inc42’s 3,000 KM Rajasthan Expedition

In December 2024, an Inc42 team embarked on a 15-day, 3,000 km journey across seven major cities — Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Bikaner, and Bharatpur — to document how digital adoption is shaping everyday lives.

On a mission to understand how the state was committed to driving innovation, the team interacted with local entrepreneurs, educators, healthcare professionals and farmers.

The journey uncovered how technology is bridging the urban-rural divide and empowering citizens. In pursuance of our endeavour, we have also compiled stories of entrepreneurs disrupting traditional sectors by leveraging technology.

From AgRobot’s solar-powered agricultural solutions to Darji Online’s platform for supporting local artisans, the journey captured how technology is democratising economic growth across the state.

Key Insights From Inc42’s Digital Rajasthan Yatra Report 4.0

MSMEs And Startups Make A Digital Leap: Breaking traditional barriers, Rajasthan’s MSMEs are increasingly turning to digital platforms to expand their reach. Entrepreneurs are using AI to improve operational efficiency and generate new revenue streams.

Startups like Clickzy Creative Technologies, which has developed a digital measurement solution for the textile industry with 16,000 embedded sensors for unmatched precision, and Dhenu Dairy Farm, which transformed its operations with advanced digital tracking and data solutions, are a few examples of this leap.

Reimagining Education Through Tech: Technology is reshaping how students in Rajasthan learn. Digital tools and AI-driven platforms have made quality learning accessible beyond conventional classrooms.

Healthcare Getting A Tech Booster Dose: Rajasthan’s healthcare market is getting a digital makeover. Initiatives like telemedicine, AI-driven diagnostics and remote patient monitoring are boosting Rajasthan’s healthcare infrastructure and accessibility, especially in underserved regions. Besides, emerging solutions like AI for early disease detection, blockchain for secure medical records are making medical care more efficient and accessible.

Inclusive Growth: Digital platforms are creating new opportunities for women and young people in Rajasthan. Initiatives like Aapnikala empower rural women artisans by turning traditional crafts into sustainable income streams.

Sustainability In The Spotlight: Rajasthan is emerging as a leader in sustainability practices, with startups addressing ecological challenges through groundbreaking innovation. A case in point is EF Polymer, whose founder Narayan Lal Gurjar has developed a biodegradable water-retaining polymer from orange and banana peels. The solution reduces irrigation needs by 40% and increases crop yields by 20%. Meanwhile, Dinesh Ujjwal of GOGARBAGE is turning waste management into a profitable, tech-driven business.

Agritech Empowering Farmers: Agricultural technology is revolutionising farming in Rajasthan. Innovations like solar-powered, multipurpose robots are being built from the state’s startup sheds to enhance productivity through automated seeding, irrigation and monitoring.

In addition, Kishan Lal Suthar’s seed extraction machine addresses groundnut seed loss with high processing efficiency, while Kamal Meena’s multi-layer farming techniques maximise land use to ensure yield diversity.

Rajasthan’s Vision For A Digital Future

In July 2024, during the budget announcement, the Rajasthan Government introduced several youth-focussed initiatives to position the state as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

At the heart of this vision is the Atal Entrepreneurship Programme, which offers aspiring entrepreneurs funding opportunities up to INR 10 Cr through the iStart Fund and an additional INR 100 Cr ‘Fund of Funds’ for equity investments.

The government also allocated INR 1,000 Cr to set up Atal Innovation Studios and Accelerators in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, and Udaipur.

These centres will focus on emerging technologies, while sector-specific initiatives such as the Agriculture Accelerator Mission and the AVGC-XR Policy 2024 aim to create approximately 50,000 jobs in the creative and technology sectors over the next five years.

The state also announced the Business Innovation Programme (INR 20 Cr) to support over 1 Lakh students, and the Learn, Earn & Progress (LEAP) Programme (INR 25 Cr) to upskill entrepreneurs and startup founders.

During the IT & Startup Pre-Summit held in November 2024, which also marked the Digital Yatra’s official flag-off, the state government signed 20 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with financial institutions, academic entities and corporates to boost Rajasthan’s startup ecosystem.

According to the state government, these agreements are expected to attract more than INR 400 Cr in startup investments and pave the way for 15,000+ new startups in the coming years.
