BlackBuck Q1: Profit Jumps 17% YoY To INR 34 Cr

Logistics major BlackBuck’s net profit stood at INR 33.7 Cr in Q1 FY26, up 17.5% from INR 28.7 Cr in the year-ago quarter. 

On a sequential basis, the company’s bottom line plunged heftily, down over 88% from INR 280.2 Cr PAT BlackBuck reported in the previous quarter. Important to note that the company’s bottom line saw a boost of almost INR 245 Cr in Q4 FY25 at the behest of deferred tax credit. Barring that exceptional item, BlackBuck would have reported a PAT of about INR 35.1 Cr in the previous quarter. 

Despite a marginal change in its bottomline, BlackBuck’s top line grew significantly in the quarter. In Q1 FY26, the company’s operating revenue stood at INR 143.6 Cr, up 56% YoY from INR 92.2 Cr operating revenue reported in Q1 FY25. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, this number surged 18% from INR 121.8 Cr. 

In this, truck operator services contributed the most to BlackBuck’s top line, racking in a total of INR 141 Cr, up 35% YoY from INR 91.4 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Meanwhile, the company’s lending business’ revenue also grew to INR 2.7 Cr from a mere INR 76 Lakh in the year-ago quarter. 

Including an other income of INR 15.9 Cr, BlackBuck’s total income for the period stood at INR 159.6 Cr, up 62% YoY. Meanwhile, the company’s expenses zoomed 24% YoY and 20% QoQ to INR 113.8 Cr. 

BlackBuck’s EBITDA zoomed close to 5X YoY to INR 40.4 Cr from INR 8.3 Cr in the year ago quarter but remained flat at sequential basis from INR 40 Cr in the previous quarter. 

In the quarter, BlackBuck served 7.8 Lakh truck operators on average per month, growing near 14% YoY. Of this, nearly 3.9 Lakh truck operators subscribed to at least two of the company’s services. 

Additionally, daily app usage per transacting customer increased 5.5% to nearly 43.8 minutes, while gross transaction value (GTV) for payments processed via the platform climbed to INR 6,847.5 Cr in FY25, reflecting a 28% YoY increase.

BlackBuck operates as a digital freight platform that connects truckers with shippers. Its platform offers services like load matching, payments (tolls, fuel), telematics (vehicle tracking), and financing, essentially bringing offline trucking operations online.  

Shares of BlackBuck parent Zinka Logistics Solutions ended today’s trading session up 3.03% to INR 484.45.
