The funding round was led by existing investor Fireside Ventures, with participation from Dharana Capital

The fresh capital will be deployed to set up two new production facilities within the next year

The startup raised INR 16.8 Cr (around $ 2 Mn) to scale its tech and manufacturing stacks, in November last year

Smart kitchen brand Beyond Appliances has secured $4 Mn (INR 34.9 Cr) in a Series A funding round led by existing investor Fireside Ventures, with participation from Dharana Capital.

The startup plans to use the fresh capital to expand its manufacturing capabilities, with plans to launch two new production facilities within the next year. The move is aimed at both diversifying its product portfolio and boosting research and development (R&D) innovation.

As of now, four of its manufacturing units are operational.

Founded in 2024 by Eshwar K Vikas and Rakesh Patil, Beyond Appliances offers a range of kitchen essentials, from chimneys to hobtops, combining advanced technology with practical functionality to create smarter kitchens.

The startup’s products are available through its D2C site, on ecommerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart and at retail outlets in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

“As we expand our manufacturing backbone, scale operations and bring innovative products to market at an accelerated pace, our vision is to create a category-defining brand that reimagines home and kitchen experiences for millions of households across India,” Vikas said.

In November last year, the Bengaluru-based startup raised INR 16.8 Cr to ramp up its tech and manufacturing operations.

It claims to be witnessing strong repeat purchases and steady monthly gains, with its flagship kitchen appliances driving the bulk of revenues.

How Smart Kitchen Startups Are Redefining Cooking In India

Beyond Appliance’s latest fundraising aligns with the surge in India’s smart kitchen appliance market, underpinned by growing disposable incomes, urbanisation and a rising appetite for hassle-free and efficient cooking solutions. While global players are making inroads, a host of homegrown startups are stepping up with innovative solutions tailored to the needs of the consumer.

Meanwhile, investors are increasingly backing smart appliance ventures seeking to expand their reach and strengthen product portfolios on the back of growing consumer demand for innovation-led solutions.

For instance, just a few days back, consumer durables brand Lifelong Online raised $13 Mn. Another home appliance brand, Nuuk bagged $2 Mn from existing investors earlier this month to expand its product portfolio.

In May, kitchen assistance robot maker Posha secured $8 Mn from Accel, Xeed Ventures and WaterBridge Ventures.

According to a Mordor Intelligence report, India’s smart home market is expected to hit $19.31 Bn by 2030, expanding at a CAGR of 30% between 2025 and 2030, fuelled by rising consumer demand and supportive government policies.
